Heard of Don Delillo?

Heard of Don Delillo? He went to Fordham and is a very successful writer. He has written 18 books including White Noise (turned into a film with Adam Driver) and Cosmopolis (with Robert Pattinson).* He has all the requisite Bronx connections: He was born in The Bronx and is a Cardinal Hayes grad. The Fordham Alumni site has him as Class of 1958.** Has Kept In Touch With His Alma Mater. "He used to drop into English classes," said Mary Bly, PhD. (with degrees from Harvard, Oxford and Yale) and professor of english at Fordham University. with interests including early modern drama and pop fiction. He is 88 years old but all the movies (7 in total) connected to him are from the last decade so I guess he is being "reevaluated". "Good idea!" came the Facebook reply from Tomas Maier (FCRH '78) who is himself a writer and journalist: "(Delillio) is regarded by many as the best living American novelist."

The factors responsible for each school’s demise are interesting to take notice of as we explore our university’s long history. Here is a look at the end of the Medical S chool. MEDICAL SCHOOL The Fordham University School of Medicine was established in 1905 and opened with six students  and seven professors.
